AriFit Wellness

Ari Kan.

Hi HELLO!!

I am Arielle Kan  (pronounced R E L or Ari-L ) founder  of AriFit Wellness

I am a lover of ALL animals, especially Pomeranians (like my munchkin @GrizThePom) and my favorite spirit animal of all time, hands-down, are unicorns.

With that being said…

My purpose in life is to empower women to embrace their natural abilities by teaching them how to use their body as a weapon for protection.

As a tween, I always felt like the "odd one out.” At 13 years old, my dad bribed me into enrolling in Krav Maga classes. Krav Maga translates to "contact combat" and is the official system of the Israel military. I resisted but attended reluctantly. My dad had stopped his seven years of Krav Maga training just after I was born.

Sooner rather then later, I learned to LOVE the power that my training gave me. I felt more powerful then ever, I stood tall and I carried myself with so much more confidence. I started assisting in as many classes as possible.

Within the first few years, I would attend training up to five days a week. Soon, I was often invited to assist the classes and extracurricular events.

Sometimes during training, my partners would tell me "strike harder! you hit like a girl." Statements like this bothered me so much but that was also my catalyst to continue training and expanding my skills.

Krav Maga training is very intense and I had much pressure put on me especially because I looked and acted older than my teen self. I yearned so badly to train as hard and strong as the high-level males in the class.

Self-defense became my pride and passion, especially since I was able to surround myself with a like-minded community and a place where I belonged.

After over 1200 hours of instructor training and over 1000 hours of assistant instructor training, I started my journey teaching Krav Maga. At 18, I became the youngest female instructor in the United States (and one of the youngest worldwide!) to earn the responsibility of instructing Krav Maga self-defense. Now, I take pride and understand deeper into what it means to “fight like a girl."

As a professional, I continue to train from boxing to Jiu Jitsu to Muay Thai.

I am continuously adapting my martial arts mindset in order to understand what is best for the people who are starting self-defense and mobility or those who need inspiration to advance to their next level!

My training and teaching journey does not end, I will always stay a student of life.

Alongside training and teaching self-defense, I became extremely interested in recovery, body mechanics and pain prevention.

Many martial artists end their training with muscular imbalances, horrific posture and very limited range of motion. After learning to minimize my chronic migraines, neck, foot and back pain through holistic practices, I began my journey in helping others.

Now, I perform full-body myofascial bodywork using cupping, hands-on techniques, deep muscle stimulation, e-STIM & proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation fascial stretching.

I believe in preventative health protocols and have perfected my techniques while working alongside Stretch U and Fitness Quest 10.

I adapt to others’ needs whether it be defend from physical attacks, stay accountable throughout their movement journey, or relieve tension through bodywork.

Arielle is an excellent fitness instructor! Whether she’s clarifying a specific move in self-defense or showing you the proper form for a squat, she understands the limitations people have and works with them to get through it. Her classes are varied and well-rounded for a butt-kicking workout that will leave you sore for days if you follow the plan! Thanks, Ari!

I’ve been playing soccer for years, surfing, snowboarding, skating and have been to a few AriFit Wellness sessions and can say she pushes you and engages muscles that you typically would not isolate in such a way. Me and Arielle are both Kinesiology Majors and I think that She has been applying our knowledge to her passion. Go support

AriFit is always a fun, interesting workout. I know I’ve seen an improvement in my balance and coordination. Arielle is always careful of people’s backs or other limitations. She is positive, enthusiastic, and clearly has a lot of passion for what she does. I’ve enjoyed adding her classes to my Saturday routine, and I’ve found the stretches at the end of class very helpful and easy to do at home. All in all a great experience, totally worth going.
